Parker has extensive experience in providing bitumen processing, storage and handling equipment and have developed and introduced a number of innovative equipment designs which have now become industry standards. This means that we are ideally placed to provide a full package of design, build and installation for one off and specialist bitumen handling equipment. Working closely with our clients we can ensure that we correctly identify their needs and can deliver the solutions needed for their particular applications. All Parker equipment supplied conforms to health and safety legislation, environmental requirements and current industry best practice.

Pump And Pipework

Parker specialises in upgrading existing pump and pipe work systems to comply with current industry best practice. A wide variety of options are available examples including:

• Design and installation of bitumen blending facilities for coating plants
• Provision of low level ring main systems to reduce product oxidation and to simplify pipe work
• Renewal of old and inefficient trace heating, lagging and cladding
• Installation of metering and upgrades of valves with high quality actuated valves to reduce leakage

Relocation

On occasion it may be necessary to move bitumen storage facilities to another site. Parker can offer a full relocation package and working with the client will programme the work to minimise disruption of the manufacturing process. The relocation can include dismantling existing pipe work removal of tanks and pumping equipment and making safe, transportation of the equipment, installation of the tanks at the new location and provision of upgraded valves, pipe work, heat trace, lagging and cladding and pumps where required.
